The stand out series which premiered on March 17th on Amazon Prime is created by Janine Nabers and Donald Glover. Both creators have previously worked on the award winning series Atlanta. The new Amazon Prime series focuses on a young woman who has a disturbing obsession with an international popstar.

Dominique Is A Star
Born 22nd March 1991 in New York city, U.S. Dominque knew from the age of 10 that she was destined for acting. In 2013 she graduated Pace University with a B.A in Theater. I first saw Dominique in Project Power alongside Jamie Foxx (2020). Her beauty, swag and sharp demeanour caught my attention swiftly.
Her rapping in the movie was very impressive, and I’d go as far to say that she out rapped most rappers who are out today. When I was researching Dominique I discovered that she debuted her off-off broadway called Subverted where she played 22 characters. This shows that Dominique is a natural talent. Her acting is refreshing because she is used to acting in real time.
Fishback starred along side Daniel Kaluuya in Judas and the Black Messiah in 2021. She was nominated for Best Actress in a supporting role at the Bafta’s. Rightfully so, her role as Akua Njeri was impeccable. She mastered the mannerisms of Njeri with such grace.
Dominique already has stand out roles but her role in Swarm takes the cake.
Dominique’s acting is real and raw. When you’re watching her, it feels as if you’re watching a documentary not a film. One thing I love about Dominique is that she acts with her eyes. In episode 4 of the series, we see Dre in counselling sessions with Eva (Billie Eillish) .
Her eyes convey over 1000 emotions at once. Just looking at her eyes you can almost feel what she is feeling. To be able to act with just your facial features takes raw talent.
I cannot wait to see Dominique Fishback take over Hollywood, she deserves all the Buzz.
